October of 1989, in the after math of the Loma Prieta, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake shook the foundation of the Bay area and brought two hearts together. With this tragedy, the destruction of Craigemont school, where Laurel was attending, had her parents arrange a new enrollment with her in Head-Royce School. Three years later in seventh grade, Myles and Laurel met. Although this couple got of to a rocky start, the next six years of of sharing classes with no more than 15 people and graduating with a class of 80, never actually saw themselves in a romantic light- especially after their one disastrous date. They never thought they would be more than friends.

After graduating, Myles stayed in California and went to UCLA, and Laurel went across country to Wellesley College. They fell out of touch with each other until a mutual friend, Hannah re-introduces the two of them. One day when Laurel was in town, Myles and Laurel went to the Albany Bowl and from then on they continued their friendship with letters that grew the relationship from friendship to romance.

On New Year's Eve 2007, Myles and Laurel were at the ComedySportz Theater in Hollywood and as the the toasts came to an end after midnight, Myles asked Laurel to accompany him to a secret room in the back for a private toast. They walked into a room filled with 200 balloons, which is Laurel's favorite with a bottle of Venue Cliquot (another favorite). Myles bent down on one knee and asked for her to spend every New Years with him for the rest of their lives. Laurel responded, "Yes, I will!" Myles was handing her his world, as he held Betty's, his great-grandmother, ring for her to encompass his world and become apart of his family.

The rest of the evening consisted of the newly engaged couple handing out the balloons to other party guests and late night revelers on Santa Monica Boulevard.

They were married the following year on New Years. Their story doesn't end there... After being married for fifteen months, they went on the Newly Wed Game- AND WON! Congratulations Myles and Laurel! They will be going on a second honeymoon this October!

"Every part of having Tu do our wedding photography exceeded our expectations, and every interaction with Lisa made us more glad about the decision we made. She met with us before the wedding to get an idea of what we wanted, answered all our many questions to our satisfaction, dealt with unexpected developments in a professional way, delivered exactly the results we wanted at every step of the way, and has been exceedingly patient with our slowpokery when it comes to choosing photos for the album. The terrific photos they took are reason enough to love Tu, but the great customer service they provide really puts them over the top. We 2 love Tu."
